Stephen Maher, a native of Truro, Nova Scotia, is a contributing editor at Maclean’s magazine, a veteran and award-winning investigative journalist, columnist and novelist. He has previously worked for the Halifax Chronicle Herald, Postmedia News and iPolitics. He is a 2015-2016 Harvard Nieman Fellow, a recipient of the Michener Award for meritorious public service journalism, a National Newspaper award, two Canadian Association of Journalism Awards, a Canadian Hillman Prize. He is the author of three novels, most recently Social Misconduct, which was published this year by Simon & Schuster.
