Venturelli graduated from Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon and obtained his Ph.D. at the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste and at the Universite de Grenoble. He worked as a post-doc at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy, in the Condensed Matter and Quantum Information group. Venturelli is currently a Science Operations Manager at the Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science of USRA, working at the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (QuAIL) at NASA Ames Research Center, of which he was one of the founding members. His applied focus in quantum optimization is in complex scheduling, telecommunication networks, and robotics/distributed AI, also in collaborations with academia and the private sector. He is also co-founder of a robotics company, Archon Dronics, and advisor of multiple others in the sector of AI, optimization and finance.
