Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Wendy Chamberlin is an Associate Program Officer on the Financial Services for the Poor (FSP) team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Her current focus of work is on the digitization of government safety net programs in emerging markets in pursuit of promoting financial inclusion for low-income households. Her work has also included a focus on poverty graduation programming, smallholder financing, and promoting women’s economic empowerment through development interventions. Wendy joined the foundation in 2006 and the foundation’s FSP team in 2010.
Prior to that she spent several years as a teacher, a time from which she can still tell many an entertaining story. She holds an MA from Antioch University, and a BA from the University of Washington.
